Mateusz Czerniak winner of the first SGP2 final

The first final of Speedway Grand Prix 2 took place on Friday, May 27. The track in Prague after the rain was very hard and there were a lot of falls and derailments. The competition was won by Pole Mateusz Cerniak, who passed Latvian Francis Gusts on the last lap of the final.

Mateusz Cerniak felt good on a difficult Czech course from the very beginning of the stage. The Polish
junior ran his first two races successfully, but in his third start he became familiar with the road
the pavement. This was not a big problem for Czerniak, as from race to race he was getting
better and better.

In the second semifinal, Cerniak struggled throughout the race against a big talent from Latvia –
Francis Gusts. In this race, however, it was the Latvian who was first on the finish line. It became

Jan Kvech, one of the best drivers of the stage, also took part in the final race, but the Czech rider
was left at the start because the bike refused to obey. And what was written above became
fact, Gusts and Cerniak fought until the last meters for first place, but in the end the fans
gathered on the track in the Czech capital, heard the Polish anthem.
